21 was trash but here’s me a few days ago

Everyone is posting pictures of themselves at 21. Like…21 was not fun for me. It was an extremely dark time, luckily 22 was one of the best years of my life but that doesn’t diminish how bad 21 was for me.

I was still in a place of trying to gain self acceptance but I was on the side of kind of ignoring the problems I was facing, pretending everything was ok, and trying to just get through each day in kind of a mode of survival only. There was no growth, only darkness and making it from one day to the next.

Can I just say though that I am completely different and the growth is amazing. I know that going through all the shit I did from 18-22 is what shaped me into who I am but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t f***ing difficult.
