In 2011, I saw a commercial that changed a lot of things. It was a Google Chrome commerical highlighting the It Gets Better project. This commercial was a compilation of different people saying that even though things can be rough right now, it gets better. Life gets better. It then went on to show things people were saying about these videos and the very last one they showed said “I have hope.” Life can get really dark and really difficult. Relationships can feel like they are hanging by a thread and it can seem like life has been a waste. But it never is. You are so important, so loved, and so needed in this world. When things have been hard, I have always had people who reminded me of this, and now I want to remind you. Life is too short to shut people out or participate in petty disagreements. We all need to be here for each other and keep each other going. Tell people you love them. Be kind. Have confidence in yourself and love yourself. Hope is there. I have hope.
